{"id":852,"date":"2009-05-18T07:39:07","date_gmt":"2009-05-18T07:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.wabash.edu\/alumni\/2009\/05\/18\/two-special-men-of-religion\/"},"modified":"2009-05-18T07:39:07","modified_gmt":"2009-05-18T07:39:07","slug":"two-special-men-of-religion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/2009\/05\/18\/two-special-men-of-religion\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Special Men of Religion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"428\" height=\"285\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.wabash.edu\/www2images\/davi and Monk.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Took this photo at&nbsp;Baccalaureate yesterday &#8211; David Blix and Father &quot;Monk&quot; Malloy of Notre Dame&#8230;and now of Wabash College!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">David Blix needs no introduction. &nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Father Malloy was President of Notre Dame, &quot;my president&quot; when I had the good fortune to serve on the staff there. &nbsp;Father Malloy led Notre Dame for 18 years. &nbsp;He still lives in Sorin Hall, a residence hall on campus right next to the Golden Dome.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The common thread here is David and Father Malloy&#8217;s service as professor&#8217;s of Religion. &nbsp;I have seen David talk of Islam and Sunday Father Malloy mentioned Islam and at least six other religions during his sermon.
