The Celebration of Student Research on Friday, January 27, 2006 has been covered elsewhere on our web site (click here<\/a>) \u2013 it was simply incredible.<\/p>\n

For example, I happened on John Anagnostou \u201907<\/b>, a biology major, discussing his research with Wabash Trustee and noted Indianapolis pediatrician Jim Cumming \u201961<\/b>. John spent last summer working with a research team at the IU School of Medicine. He plans to continue his research this coming summer and following graduation attend medical school.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one thing to do this kind of research \u2013 a life experience. It\u2019s another to stand there and talk with a well-known doctor, on a virtually equal footing, about something they both see as critical research with life-saving implications. <\/p>\n

John will be a difference maker, I\u2019m sure.  Just like Jim Cumming ’61 and so many others\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
