Greg Castanias ’87<\/strong>\u00a0 was\u00a0interviewed as part of National Public Radio’ Morning Edition<\/em> program\u00a0this \"\"<\/a>morning.\u00a0 The\u00a0story dealt with a\u00a0lawsuit addressing\u00a0whether human genes may be patented.\u00a0 Greg , an attorney with Jones Day in Washington DC, represents Myriad Genetics, which\u00a0has discovered and isolated two genes that are highly associated with hereditary breast and ovarian cancer.\u00a0 Click here <\/a>to read the text of the story or link to hear it online.<\/p>\n

Greg\u00a0is an appellate and intellectual property litigator with extensive Supreme Court and Federal Circuit advocacy experience, and\u00a0heads Jones Day’s Federal Circuit practice.<\/p>\n

Since graduation from Wabash, Greg\u00a0has\u00a0continually been an active volunteer\u00a0with the\u00a0National Capital Association of Wabash Men in the Washington DC area, and has hosted students and faculty during professional immersion trips to DC.\u00a0 Last month, Greg and his wife, Jane, hosted the DC-area alumni with a farewell party for President Pat and Chris White.\u00a0 Greg earned his JD at\u00a0Indiana University School of Law. He\u00a0teaches a weekly class at IU’s law school, and last summer received the\u00a0IUAA President\u2019s Award<\/strong>, which pays tribute to its most dedicated alumni volunteers.<\/p>\n
