\nEasley Winery Receives Gold Medal for Traminette<\/strong><\/em>
\n<\/strong>
\nEasley Winery<\/strong> is proud to\u00a0announce a gold medal win for its locally-made Traminette varietal wine at\u00a0the 2013 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Easley Winery, located in\u00a0downtown Indy since 1974, garnered a gold medal with its 2010 Michigan\u00a0Riesling last year at this prestigious event and is excited to bring home\u00a0another gold medal for Indiana\u2019s signature wine. \u201cWe love this\u00a0 wine!\u201d states Meredith Easley of Easley Winery. \u201cWe are thrilled\u00a0\u00a0 and honored to receive this award!\u201d<\/p>\n

Winery owner Mark Easley ’90\u00a0<\/strong>added, \u201cWe were humbled to win a\u00a0gold with Traminette in three 2012 competitions, and after this amazing\u00a0\u00a0 award, we\u2019re looking forward to a prosperous 2013.\u201d Easley Winery has\u00a0been no stranger to the award circuit, garnering 14 awards of gold or higher\u00a0in competitions across the country in 2012, four of which came from\u00a0California events.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition<\/em> is billed as the largest wine\u00a0\u00a0 competition in America. With over 4,000 entries from across the country, a\u00a0team of 60 industry experts is\u00a0selected to judge various categories of wine\u00a0from dry to sweet. Proceeds from the event go to support wine and food\u00a0education at various educational institutions across California. The event\u00a0organizers will hold a public tasting for all gold medal-winning wines on\u00a0February 16 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.
