Ayres book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ken Turchi \u201980<\/strong> has long been fascinated with L.S. Ayres &amp; Company, the iconic Hoosier department store that began as a dry good store in the late 1800\u2019s.\u00a0 Ken even worked at an Ayres store during his college years.\u00a0 Thousands of Hoosiers remember some connection to Ayres, whether\u00a0from visits to the store near Monument Circle or stores in several locations across Indiana, to visiting the Ayres Tea Room\u00a0or magically decorated store windows during the holidays.<\/p>\n<p>Ken\u2019s just-released book, <em>L.S.
