{"id":3892,"date":"2011-11-18T07:02:54","date_gmt":"2011-11-18T12:02:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.wabash.edu\/alumni\/?p=3892"},"modified":"2011-11-18T07:02:54","modified_gmt":"2011-11-18T12:02:54","slug":"kelly-pfledderer-96-his-risk-paid-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/2011\/11\/18\/kelly-pfledderer-96-his-risk-paid-off\/","title":{"rendered":"Kelly Pfledderer &#039;96 \u2013 his risk paid off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To help celebrate <strong>Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011<\/strong>, WFYI Public Radio featured three Indianapolis entrepreneurs on its locally produced show, <em>No Limits<\/em>, on November 17.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kelly Pfledderer &#8217;96<\/strong>, Founder, President, and CEO of the Indianapolis IT company <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apparatus.net\/\">Apparatus<\/a> , was part of\u00a0the panel discussing their businesses.\u00a0 The others\u00a0were Martha Hoover, President of the Caf\u00e9 Patachou restaurants; and Scott Jones, CEO of Cha Cha search engine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you missed the show yesterday, you can still catch Kelly\u00a0via podcast.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wfyi.org\/radio\/localPrograms\/noLimits.asp\">Click here<\/a> for the No Limits\u00a0podcast list and select the <em>No Limits &#8211; Entrepreneur Week &#8211; November 17, 2011<\/em> link to listen.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly,\u00a0a German major, worked in the Wabash IT department for two years after graduation before he took\u00a0his risk, which he discusses during the show, and funded by his own money founded and grew his company into one of the leading IT consulting firms in the Midwest.\u00a0 Today Apparatus has almost 100 employees, is included on Fastest Growing IT Firm lists, and was named a Top Place to Work in Indianapolis.\u00a0 Kelly has been named to the <em>Indiana Business Journal&#8217;s<\/em> &#8220;40 Under 40&#8221; list.\u00a0 Clients include Simon Property Group, Eli Lilly &amp; Company, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was on campus as the Top Ten Scholarship Visit Day Keynote Speaker in early November.\u00a0 At Homecoming 2011, he was\u00a0the second recipient of Wabash&#8217;s Young Alumni Award.
