Landis<\/b>, <b>Wabash &#8217;67<\/b>, has been nominated to the Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service (Joint Board) by Diane Munns, President of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'\">President Munns said: \u201cI am delighted to forward the nomination of Commissioner Landis for this post. He has an outstanding record of public service. I am confident that he can do an excellent job of integrating varying State perspectives into the work of this critically important Federal-State Joint Board.&quot;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'\">Landis was appointed to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission by the late Governor Frank O\u2019Bannon and was reappointed by former Governor Joe Kernan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'\">Landis founded and was the former president of <b>Marketrends Inc.<\/b>, a marketing and communications firm, and co-founder and managing partner of American Grassroots LLC, a mass telecommunications notification and grassroots communications firm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif'\">Larry &#8211; Congratulations! &nbsp;(Can you get my home heating fuel costs down?)<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Indiana Utility Regulatory Commissioner Larry S.
