A Film by Russ Harbaugh '06<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Wabash campus, Tuesday evening, April 19, 2011.<\/p>\n

Russ Harbaugh ’06, Chris Ogden ’06, \u00a0and Jake Knott ’03. \u00a0Three talented Wabash football stars. \u00a0The making of a Wabash football reunion. \u00a0But it wasn’t about football.<\/p>\n

It was the Wabash liberal arts in action.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jake Knott is a very successful investments guy in the Indy area. \u00a0He and his bride came for a friend.
\nChris Ogden is off to Harvard Business School in August. He and his bride came for a friend.
\nRuss is finishing his degree at Columbia and it was his film, title in the photo, that brought everyone together. \u00a0He has good friends.<\/p>\n

I won’ tell you about the film – you need<\/strong> to see it. \u00a0Yes, need<\/strong>. \u00a0I can tell you this. \u00a0I have been in exactly the same shoes as one of the characters…exactly. \u00a0Russ captured, and more importantly documented, every single emotion an oldest son goes through. \u00a0Spot on. \u00a0A “shack” in fighter lingo. \u00a0Perfecto.<\/p>\n

Russ is in the “can of pork and beans for dinner” phase of being a film maker. \u00a0Displaying his talents and looking for the right fit, the right opportunity. \u00a0To make this film, Russ needed about $35,000. \u00a0$20,000 of that came from the Wabash community. \u00a0Sure some big names helped. \u00a0But there were also people on campus, everyday good people, who helped make it happen. \u00a057% from the Wabash family…57%.<\/p>\n

This out-of-work fighter pilot believes the pork and beans phase will be followed by the Capital Grill and St. Elmos phase. \u00a0I hope it will. \u00a0But let me tell you this. \u00a0Just like a few years back, Russ has proven again he’s a winner. \u00a0The creative talents he has have shifted from 3rd down and 7 yards to go to film cameras, set design, writing a script, and character development. \u00a0He’s kept one thing the same – calling audibles to make it happen\/save the day. \u00a0He’s a guy you want in the game when it’s time to make things happen.<\/p>\n
