Thomas Bartley as its chaplain and director of religious life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rev. Bartley currently serves as part-time pastor of First Baptist Church in Franklin, whose Sunday services are held in Richardson Chapel on the Franklin College campus.&nbsp; He will continue his pastorate alongside his new role at the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/04\/Bartley-93.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"869\" height=\"623\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/04\/Bartley-93.jpg\" alt=\"Thomas Bartley \u201993\" class=\"wp-image-11939\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/04\/Bartley-93.jpg 869w, https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/04\/Bartley-93-300x215.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/04\/Bartley-93-768x551.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 869px) 100vw, 869px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Rev. Bartley earned his undergraduate degree in religion from Wabash College and a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary. He brings extensive experience in ministry and spiritual care, including work with youth in several Indiana churches and service as senior pastor at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. His background also includes chaplaincy roles with the Indiana Department of Corrections, Luminary Hospice and Kindred Hospice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRev. Bartley is a committed and effective leader with a strong record of fostering meaningful faith development and spiritual growth,\u201d said Franklin College President Kerry N. Prather. \u201cI am confident he will be successful in supporting the spiritual journeys of our students and inspiring engagement with our religious life program.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to begin serving with the students, faculty and staff of Franklin College,\u201d Bartley said. \u201cI look forward to providing a safe space for students to successfully navigate the complexities of faith development through these important years.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rev.
