He is a 10-time recipient of the IU Trustees\u2019 Teaching Award, and the author of 15 books, including \u201cWe Make a Life by What We Give\u201d and \u201cWe Come to Life With Those We Serve.\u2019 Dr. Gunderman graduated summa cum laude from Wabash College and earned his MD and PhD at the University of Chicago.
