Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, the Capital Region\u2019s largest law firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nikolas Jones as Head of Legal Recruitment and Development.<\/a> In this newly created role, Jones will lead the firm\u2019s talent acquisition and professional development efforts, reflecting the firm\u2019s ongoing commitment to strategically growing its team with top legal talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over a decade of talent acquisition and recruitment experience, Jones joins Whiteman Osterman & Hanna from the Indiana University Foundation, where he served as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. During his tenure, he successfully implemented innovative recruitment strategies, including overhauling recruitment processes and systems, resulting in significant increases in candidate pipelines and employee retention. His efforts led to a 73% increase in applicant volume and doubled the diversity of incoming staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jones has also been recognized for his commitment to fostering inclusive work environments, having co-chaired engagement and belonging committees and led statewide recruitment efforts. He holds a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management, reflecting his deep expertise in HR strategy, recruitment, and talent management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jones earned his M.A. in English Literature from Indiana University and his B.A. in English from Wabash College. While at Wabash, he majored in English and minored in religion.
