Overstreet and the Illinois Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfiwradio.com\/2025\/01\/24\/appointment-of-brian-shinkle-as-resident-circuit-judge-for-edwards-county\/\">have announced the appointment<\/a> of Brian Shinkle \u201985 as a Resident Circuit Judge for Edwards County in the Second Judicial Circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shinkle fills the vacancy left by the passing of Judge Michael J. Valentine on November 5th. His appointment will take effect on February 10th and will last until December 7 of next year, following the November 2026 general election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While at Wabash, he majored in political science with a minor in religion. He was a member of the football and wrestling teams, and Kappa Sigma fraternity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Justice David K.
