{"id":11500,"date":"2023-02-09T12:25:59","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T17:25:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/?p=11500"},"modified":"2023-05-24T13:03:06","modified_gmt":"2023-05-24T17:03:06","slug":"scurlock-97-named-managing-attorney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/2023\/02\/09\/scurlock-97-named-managing-attorney\/","title":{"rendered":"Scurlock \u201997 named managing attorney"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2023\/02\/1462199063.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"284\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.wabash.edu\/alumninews\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2023\/02\/1462199063.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11501\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">James Scurlock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">James Scurlock \u201997 was recently named the Attorney for Texas Operations at Wallace, Martin, Duke &amp; Russell, PLLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI oversee our offices in Dallas and Austin,\u201d Scurlock said, \u201cand will be responsible for opening our new office in Houston this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scurlock\u2019s fields of practice include Contract Law, Construction Law, Employment Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, Health Law, Veteran and Military Discrimination, Federal Civil Rights Violations, State Civil Rights Violations, and Tort Law, and Minimum Wage Laws.&nbsp; He has extensive experience in mediation, arbitration, agency hearings, and court proceedings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scurlock represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in all these areas of law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to joining Wallace, Martin, Duke &amp; Russell, PLLC in 2014, Scurlock worked for one of the largest Plaintiff\u2019s firms in the southern United States representing clients in civil rights, employment law, and discrimination cases.
