Chris Denari ’83 was inducted into the 2016 Indiana Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame on April 10. Click here for the news story. Chris started his sports announcing as a freshman at Wabash College.
From Inside Indiana Business.com announcement:“Chris Denari, Television voice of Indiana Pacers – Chris is now in his 10th year as the TV voice of the Pacers on Fox Sports Indiana. Prior to that, Chris spent nearly 20 years as the radio voice of the Butler Bulldogs. He’s been on the call of the Indy 500 for many years, including the prestigious perch atop turn four at the Speedway. Chris was also on the first news staff at what is now Fox 59 in Indianapolis back in the mid80s, and later was the Sports Director there prior to joining the Pacers full-time in 2006.”
Nathan Kring ’10 has been appointed interim director of Tipton County Economic Development Organization (TCEDO) in Indiana. Click here for the news release.
Nathan Kring began working at the TCEDO in 2015 as a Project and Communications Manager. He is a native of Tipton. After Wabash, Nathan joined the United States Army where he served as an interpreter of Arabic and Pashto. During his service, he earned his Associates in Arabic and Middle Eastern studies along with several service medals and ribbons for his work as an Operations Non-Commissioned Officer. After separating from the military, Nathan earned an MBA with a finance concentration from Indiana University-Kokomo and will begin working on his Masters of Public Management this summer.
Matt Page ’13 will open a Senior Helpers ® franchise this month in Terre Haute, IN. Senior Helpers’ mission is to help seniors who wish to remain in their homes despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges. Matt developed an interest in senior care after seeing the needs of a family member. Click here to read the news release.
Royal Gearhart ’09 is an associate attorney with Kahn, Dees, Donovan & Kahn, LLP in Evansville, IN. He practices insurance subrogation, litigation and trial services, immigration law, family and private adoption law, business law, and environmental and mineral law.
A Spanish and English major at Wabash, Royal earned his JD with a Graduate Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He is active in the Evansville Minority-owned/Women-owned Business Enterprise Utilization Board, Latino Collaboration Table (Vice President), Parenting Time Center (Vice President), and Mayor’s Latino Advisory Committee.

David Moody ’73 has begun a three-month, 3,300-mile cycling journey across the United States with Ride for World Health to raise awareness and funds to improve domestic and international healthcare. R4WH is a cycling team that is centered around a 3,700mile ride from San Diego to Washington D.C. David is joined on the team by his brother and another family member. After Wabash, David earned his JD from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He practices family law in a rural West Central Minnesota. David is motivated to ride for a friend who was killed while riding last summer because of an inattentive driver.
