Wheeler ’83 named president of Athene Holding

Bill WheelerBill Wheeler ’83 has been appointed President of Athene Holding Ltd., effective September 28.  Click here for the news release.

After Wabash, Bill earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.  He has served 28 years in the insurance and financial services industries, most recently as President, Americas at MetLife, Inc.  Bill is a member of the Wabash College Board of Trustees.

Churney ’14 joins IWA as deputy director

zach churneyZach Churney ’14 is the newly named deputy director for Indiana West Advantage (IWA) (formerly Montgomery County Economic Development), located in downtown Crawfordsville.  IWA provides professional economic development services to current and potential businesses in Montgomery County.  Click here to read the news release.

Zach was a Political Science and German major at Wabash.  While a student, he participated in internships and projects in the areas of economic development, community marketing and marketing strategies, and communications.

Ott ’02 new Classics librarian at UC Berkeley

Jeremy Ott ’02 started his new job yesterday as the new Classics and Germanic Studies Librarian at UC Berkeley.  Click here to read the news release.

Jeremy was a Classics and Psychology major at Wabash, and as a PhD candidate at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts will defend his dissertation on “Mortuary Practices in Late Antique Corinth” this fall.
