Michael J. Akers ’68 has written a new book of daily meditations: Morning and Evening Meditations from the Word of God: Education, Challenge, Inspiration, and Encouragement.
“Severe hearing disability forced me to stop teaching Bible classes that I had been doing for nearly 30 years,” writes Akers. “I started writing these meditations to compensate for the loss of my teaching ministry. Basically, I transferred teaching from the spoken word to the written word.” Click here to read more about his book, which is available from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
After Wabash, Mike earned a PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Iowa and worked for 40 years in the pharmaceutical industry. He is an ordained pastor through the Evangelical Church Alliance.
