Dr. C. Patrick Tyndall ’92 will present a talk today:  “August Wilson and Black Rage: The Good, the Bad, and the Family.”

C. Patrick Tyndall ’92 is from Brooklyn, NY. After Wabash, he completed his M.A. degree in Playwriting from Miami University at Ohio, and then his Ph.D. in Theater History/Criticism/Theory from the University of Texas at Austin. His dissertation is entitled “August Wilson’s Play Cycle: A Healing Black Rage for Contemporary African Americans.” An actor, playwright, director, dramaturg, and scholar, Dr. Tyndall’s research on August Wilson is included in August Wilson and Black Aesthetics as well as other notable publications.  Patrick’s lecture is co-sponsored by the MXI, the Dean’s Office, and the Department of Theater.
