Veterans Day Morning – 2008.
If it’s like past Veteran’s Days here, not a word will be spoken. That’s OK…it is what it is.
For those of you out there (we’re up to 9 loyal readers!), take a moment, just a moment, to “think a thank” for the families of our Veterans. I can tell you first hand that they are the ones who sacrifice a great deal. They are the ones who share a loved one with you. They are the ones who say “OK” when their Veteran is called away…for a little while…for a couple of months…for a year…or forever.
Please keep them in your prayers.

Tom,
Thanks to you and other alumni like you who have not only devoted themselves to the College but also to fighting for our country. I hope this day provides time for more to reflect on all that those brave men and women put on the line so that we can do things like watch Wabash beat DePauw, enjoy a concert at Salter or even just take a stroll across campus on a beautiful day without fear.

Tom,
From one veteran to another, thank you for your service. And thanks to all who served, are serving, and will serve. This day is more than a postal holiday, especially for the families you mentioned. This morning my daughter called me before I left for the office to wish me a “happy” Veteran’s Day. Her adjective may have been a bit off but her thought was greatly appreciated.
So again, let me pass that thought on: thank you!
